In conjunction with, and with guidance from leading business academics such as
Professor John Adair, MotivAction have designed a fast, frantic
and fun business game used to illustrate a multitude of work
place and team building concepts.
The
simulation splits groups of between 12 and 800 people into
teams to run a Global Business for a period of 8 years. Every
year teams have to make decisions and formulate strategies
relevant to their business. The environment changes constantly,
information comes from Government announcements, TV News
Bulletins, Newspapers and the Internet. The game highlights
the need for excellent inter-team and intra-team co-operation.
Tim
Waygood, the game's designer comments “we decided there was
a gap in the market for a classroom based game which used
high production values and interactive theatre to effect
learning by experience - quickly and realistically.”
'Global
Enterprises' is applicable to a wide range of learning objectives.
Once you have played the game with a group, they will have
had some fun, relaxed, interacted and most importantly will
have made mistakes. From these mistakes lessons are learnt.“
“There
are many games which are used to illustrate a variety of
learning points, however as Global Enterprises is based
upon actually running a business, the simulation is extremely
relevant” says Waygood. “Participants are swamped with
information, with access to all media channels including
the Internet. The game highlights the need for people to
sift through and find relevant information quickly in order
to prevail.
